About me...

My office is located in Castle Rock, Colorado inside Heartlight Family Clinic. I am a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner, also board certified as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, as well as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. As a Family and Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, I have worked in Urgent Care and Family Practice settings. As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I have experience in private practice, behavioral health inpatient facilities, and Substance abuse residential treatment, treating dual diagnosis patients.
I completed my master's program as a Nurse Practitioner at Colorado State University in Pueblo, Colorado. When I first completed my Family and Acute Care program, I found that mental health concerns in the family practice setting were a large part of my practice, and I wanted to learn more to improve the care that I could offer to my patients. It was then that I decided to further my education and obtain my post-master's certificate and board certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
Now I am able to blend the knowledge and skills of my medical background and that of mental health into an integrated practice that strives to care for the whole person from a functional medicine approach. I am currently pursuing my board certification by the American Board of Anti-Aging Health Practitioners (ABAAHP) as well as an advanced fellowship in functional medicine. My focus is on optimizing hormone levels, thyroid function, gut health as well as the mental health of each of my patients.
I have lived Colorado since 1997, where I met my husband one year later. I have had the blessing to help raise his two amazing sons into wonderful young men that they are today. I now have a beautiful daughter-in-law who has now blessed me with my two amazing grandchildren. I love Colorado and all that it's beauty has to offer. My spare time is spent with my family and friends, as well as in my favorite kickboxing class!!
